usability test agent (gemini gem)Built and orchestrated "Usability Test Agent," a custom Gemini system that shifts usability testing from researcher-led to designer-led with researcher-in-the-loop, cutting time-to-test by 6X and time-to-insight by 2X.

Context
Every research team eventually hits the same ceiling: the team that owns rigor becomes the bottleneck everyone learns to route around. Ripple's usability testing was no exception. Every test, regardless of size, was run through a small research team, and as demand outpaced the researcher band’s bandwidth, time-to-test crept past two weeks per study, with time-to-insight lagging even further behind.
The obvious fix is to give each designer their own AI and let the researcher step back. I built "Usability Test Agent" on the opposite bet:AI's value here isn't letting each person work alone faster. It's giving designers and researchers a better system for collaboration. It's a methodological engine tuned around “three V principles”:
Validity (a test must prove a real risk, not settle an internal debate),
Velocity (drafting and iteration happen in seconds, not days),
Volume (one researcher can now oversee far more testing by moving from co-author to editor-in-chief).
Outcome - The system moved usability testing from a Service Bureau, where researchers bottlenecked every small test, to a Center of Excellence, where designers self-serve, cutting time-to-test by 6X and time-to-insight by 2X.
Tasks & Actions
Architected the framework to close the researcher bottleneck without loosening rigor, orchestrating the tool chain, and iterating on designer feedback.
Built a Persona Matrix and Scenario Engine across personas from different products to inject real operational friction instead of generic happy-path tasks.
Designed a two-stage researcher quality-check gate, preserving rigor while moving drafting off the researcher's desk.
Standardized the script format for unmoderated testing, so output holds up in tools like UserTesting and Maze without a moderator present.
